Synopsis:
A 2D visual narrative game created using the Phaser3 framework and Javascript. It tells the story of Sam and Charlie, two lovebirds who prepare various gifts for each other when they eventually come together. The game has a unique art style, layered dialogue implementation, and a fitting cozy soundtrack.

Project Overview:
I was in a team of four in my Game Design Experience course at UCSC tasked with making a game of our choice. We conceptualized and iterated on this visual narrative genre with the goal that the player would experience a compelling aesthetic and fruitful story by playing.

Responsibilities:
- In charge of implementing character side scrolling, dialogue sequences, and asset background/props integration.
- Collaborated with the writer for delivering a narrative and the artist for providing art assets.

A Note from our Writer: “What’s Mine is Yours” takes players on through a story about companionship, happiness, and love. The emotional goal of our game is to create a sense of those warm and joyous emotions within our players while they play. In the end, “What’s Mine is Yours” will aim to convey various layers of love with navigating through the situations of self-doubt, struggle, and fear, with an intent to demonstrate how those self-reflective uncertainties are potentially overcome.
