Design Process

This is a project developed from team ideation to polish in my senior capstone game design course titled Rapid Prototyping. In a team of five, I helped create a prototype of a pen being disassembled, reassembled, and then launched into the air. Our project poses the leading question of "How are we able to recreate the childhood feel of taking apart your pen and launching it but in a video game?" Taking this idea into practice, we used Unity 3D to implement our pen's mechanics, a written deliverable, and a playable build.

Responsibilities:
- Brainstormed fidelity of pen behavior
- Prototyped playtests to evaluate the "toy" like behavior of the pen launch
- Designed high fidelity simulations of pen being launched in Unity editor using jumpforce and rigidbodies
- Implemented a drag and drop system to disassemble/reassemble pen parts
- Programmed a C# script to make the pen follow the camera's world point
